Community Center Living
The ashram is actively engaged in the community, promoting preservation of forest, education of women and children, and social equality. We work with many organization throughout Tamil Nadu in an effort to develop our vision of a nature centered, spiritually intentional, and socially diverse community. The Tureya Foundation is partners with many organizations from varying field of service, including the Children's Wisdom Project (www.cohenfi.org), the Asian Jewish Education Foundation (ajefi.org), Madura College, and Ananda University.
At the ashram, we believe that community service is a very important aspect of spirituality and one we encourage every student to be an active part of for the development of a more positive, environmentally friendly, and humanitarian centered world. All donations made to the ashram are partitioned toward our varying project including the ones listed below, but our community activities are always expanding and your additional support is a monumental blessing to the future of our community activities.

TF Free Meal Scheme |
On a monthly basis the ashram organizes free meals for communities throughout Tamil Nadu. These aim at providing ‘backwards caste’ communities with food and community building. |

Ananda Education Project |
The Tueya Foundation, in association with local educators, organizes youth camps, youth scholarships, and resource development for schools and local communities. |

Yoga For All |
Yoga For All is a project designed to distribute the knowledge of yoga and spiritual to everyone without regards of class, gender, education, or social status. This includes the distribution of resources on yoga, yoga camps for the youth, and community publications. |

SITA Women’s Development Organization |
SITA works at providing resources to women’s organization throughout Tamil Nadu that are working on transforming the role and power of women in India. |

The Kodaikanal Wilderness Restoration Project |
KWRP's goals are centered around the resort of depleted wilderness surround Kodaikanal which have be affected by human habitation over the last 100 years. Activities include the preservation of existing forests, the replenishment of deforest areas, and the protection of wildlife including a number of endangered species. |
