Personal Sadhana

Personal Sadhana (Spiritual Practice)
The personal Sadhana retreat is designed to accommodate students who wish to practice their spiritual lessons and philosophy in a spiritual and natural environment. Individuals who choose to pursue the personal sadhana retreats typically use their time for personal development and contemplation, utilizing the ashram's facilities and atmosphere for the betterment of their spiritual practice. While we typically encourage students to interact with our philosophy and teachings, some people prefer to spend the majority of their time focusing on their individual goals and practices. As the Tureya ashram is open to every individual who is on their spiritual path, the personal sadhana retreat was introduced to help support those who are already well developed in their spiritual practices and want to continue in a supportive and conducive environment.
Students participating in the personal sadhana retreat have all the amenities and facilities of the ashram available to them. However what separates the personal sadhana from other ashram visits is that individuals have the option to leave their schedule open or follow the more structured environment of the ashram’s daily routines depending upon their needs and desires. If you wish, you can meet with a mentor at the beginning of your retreat to help clarify your goals and design your time at the ashram. The only major requirement is that students participate in some of the required activities including karma yoga, asana classes, and lecture which are all essential elements of the ashram lifestyle.
Personal Sadhana retreat includes:
private accommodations in a single or double room
three vegetarian and sattvic meals a day
one or two asana classes daily
two meditation and kirtan classes per day
personal study and contemplation
scripture studies
and mentoring (when requested)
The personal sadhana can also be used as a time of self reflection or a retreat from the daily patterns of life. It is a great opportunity to practice self-healing or practice silence to gain deeper insight into our spiritual being
