Rishi Yoga Teacher Training
In the world today it is not difficult to find a Yoga Teacher Training Course. In fact, around 70% of the countries that make up our culturally dynamic planet earth offer yoga training in one form or another. Each program outlines its own set of goals which are designed to advance the vision of its teachers for the future of yoga and spirituality. For this reason we can find such titles as Kriya Yoga, Bhikram Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, and many other names which express the distinct technical approaches offered by these forms of yoga.
For the Tureya Community, our vision of spirituality encompasses something our students have found to be profoundly unique: A utilization of the dormant potentials of the cosmic consciousness, which dwell in every soul, for the holistic transformation of our multifaceted lives. With this vision, our cultivated approach to spiritual living is one that can be experienced by all on a very deep level. Our training course is endowed with the word Rishi as our aim is to imbibe within our students the power to see into the cosmic soul and utilize its potency for the benefit of their students, friends, and community at large.
While we the Rishi Teacher Training does not neglect the fundament aspects of yoga such as the asanas (physical postures), pranayama (energy/breath control), and kriyas (cleansing techniques), our main focus is to embody a holistically vibrant form of spiritual discipline that will guide our students in the process of becoming not just teachers of yoga but spiritual leaders and healers for the people around them. We do this through an in depth exploration which includes the elements of:
-
Self-Knowledge/Discovery
- By learning about ourselves we can begin to understand the potentials that are stored within us. The vast majority of people do not realize that they are a manifestation of a part of the eternal. By learning how to express this, we can begin to transform our lives in profound ways
-
Becoming an Inner Witness
- Spiritual Living entails the ability to be conscious of what is occurring both inside and outside of ourselves. Many of the greatest conflict in life arise because of a lack of awareness either about ourselves or the way in which we impact the world. A beautiful motif from physics expresses this phenomena as the Butterfly Effect in which a small action can cause a large-scale consequence which has the potential to change the fate of the universe.
-
Understanding the Monumental Unities Between Knowledge of the East And Knowledge of the West That Teach Us About The Principle Aspects of Ourselves and the Universe
- Today Western Science and Eastern Mysticism are symbiotic in many ways. New developments in brain research, physiology, and the cosmic sciences are tracing many of the hymns of sacred literatures some of which are thousands of years old. By understanding these developments in our Knowledge, students can begin to transform their understanding of life from mere facts to mystic experiences.
-
Training the Mind and the Heart through the Science of Yoga Psychology
-
-
Yoga Psychology, an innovative science in the field of the study of the mind and consciousness presented by the Tureya Foundation, offers many new opportunities to go beyond conventional wisdom and utilize the hidden energies of life that the majority of humanity has yet to uncover. By discovering the secrets of the mind, students can unfurl the kinetic potentials of consciousness for themselves and their future students.

How Build the Foundation of Spirituality in People’s Lives
- We can safely assert that creating a spiritual environment for other human beings is a refined art. Teaching physical postures and breathing practices is something that can be trained through route practice, but teaching someone how to stimulate their spirit is a creative art which requires spontaneity, dynamics and an intimate connection with the other human being. By learning how to unlock our creative potentials and inner-eye, our students develop the vision to make a spiritual connection with the people around them.
-
Harmonization of the Mind, Body, and Spirit
- The Yoga Asanas, Pranayama, Meditation, and Kriyas were all designed by the yogis and saints of Indian spirituality as a means to unify all the aspects of the human being. Without such unity, the varying components of life tend to work in opposing directions; the body seeking food and stimulation; the mind searching for pleasure and connection; and the spirit quietly waiting to be reconnected to its Divine source. By learning how to systematically apply these unique practices of yoga, students will have the opportunity to transform their conventional understanding and practice of these techniques into tools for spiritual revolution.
The real yoga, as we sometime refer to it, is a 180 Degree turn from many of the modern forms of yoga that are being expressed in the world today. According to Tantric Philosophy, Yoga’s first teacher was Shiva, divine consciousness, who imparted the wisdom of spirituality to a fish (representing humanity) as a means to enter into the state of the divine. But for some of us, our experience of yoga has taken us away from this place of serenity and instead filled our hearts and minds with competitiveness, egoism, and even anger.
Our vision for the students of the Rishi Teacher Training Course is to direct our students towards a form of yoga that will free themselves and the people they teach as opposed to confining them to the powers of life which create isolationism and disconnection. Yoga is a science of liberation and should be taught as such, not simply because it is tradition to do so but rather because it will unveil the mysteries of tranquility, joy, and unity to those who receive its teachings.
Through a process of self exploration, spiritual study, and creatively dynamic forms of self-cultivation, the Rishi Teacher Training offers a unique approach to becoming a teacher, healer, and spiritual guide in the modern world.
